We hope that you and your family are doing well during these crazy times. We thought we would put out a short newsletter updating you on the status of our club. You will be receiving this notice in the postal mail as well. At the present time all activities that require the Clubhouse use are still cancelled and will not restart until our part of the State moves into the Green, so please keep checking the web site for updates on our Youth indoor activities and when we will hold a membership meeting.
The Trap shooting has been open for several weeks in order to begin generating income for the club so that we can make necessary improvements. We have removed all the picnic tables from the Trap and 5 stand areas to avoid close contact among individual shooters, and access to the lavatories is restricted to one person at a time in order to be in compliance with the state’s Dept of Health.
We have just signed the contract to install an access control gate on our property, this gate will limit access to the ranges for club members and their guests. Unfortunately, we have had to do this because of non-members coming on the property and using our facilities. The cost of this system which includes cameras to monitor who tries to enter our property is $30,000.00.
In order to afford this additional expense, the board has approved a one-time fee of $30.00 for every adult member which includes all adult family members, life members, and other adult memberships. We anticipate this system to be in operation by November at the latest, so please keep watching the web site for when we will start distributing the new access cards. Those club members who do not use a computer we will also be sending out a flyer alerting you to come and get your new access card and pay your fee.
